The first week back-to-school can be one of the craziest weeks of all! It can be lots of fun but quite busy starting all of your new classes and getting back onto a tight schedule. Today, I am sharing with you five of my top tips for how to de-stress during this busy time.
1) Listening to Music –
I don’t know about you, but for me there is nothing better than listening, dancing, or singing along to one of my favorite songs. Get your playlist ready!
Here are my Top 4 current favorite pump-up songs at the moment:
- Can’t Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake
- Break a Sweat by Becky G
- American Country Love Song by Jake Owen
- Cold Water by Justin Bieber/Major Lazer/MØ
2) Pray About It –
I’ve heard some people say, “we’ll we can at least pray about it”. “At least”, really?! Prayer should be the first thing we do when we face any situation. Seeking God for His peace and guidance will never fail us.
3) Hugs –
Grab a close friend and give them a hug! I don’t feel like I need to explain this one. We all know this just works. It feels good to bond and be close to the people you love.
4) Planning Ahead & Getting Prepared –
If you’re feeling worried about that test or quiz coming soon, there is no better way to tackle stress than simply studying and getting right down to learning the material. Might not sound fun, but hey, after you do it you’ll be so relieved and ready-to-go!
5) Breathe –
Literally, it’s as simple as that. Simply taking a few deep breaths can do wonders. So, the next time you feel yourself getting anxious or starting to get stressed concentrate on your breathing.
Overall, know that no matter what God is with you wherever you go.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
