One year ago I knew I needed to start really divin

One year ago I knew I needed to start really diving deep into reading God’s Word. The world around me felt like it was crumbling to the ground and I felt completely hopeless. However, I knew the only way I’d ever be able to get back up wasn’t by my own strength but solely through Christ alone.

Although I’ve grown up reading the Bible in church, school, Bible studies, and with family, this time I wanted to read the Word on my own and at my own pace. Just me, God, & the Bible.

My heart needed an overflow of God’s Word, so I prayed...
I prayed for genuine interest in knowing His Word.
I prayed to see God’s character be revealed.
I prayed for excitement to read the Bible.
I prayed for distractions to flee when I opened up the Word.
I prayed for grace when I missed a day or a week.
I prayed for God to show me what He wants me to see.

Reading the Bible transforms your mind, gives clarity, hope, peace, strength, and the fruits of the spirit!! When your cup is full you can encourage & be a light to those around you!

So sister, if you haven’t yet jumped into the best book of your life - today’s the day! If you don’t know where to begin, my personal recommendation is to start in the book of John (that’s what I did!)

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 ESV

I rediscovered these photos from a photoshoot I did back in twenty sixteen from when I was launching my blog. Oh wow, that feels like so long ago! Shoutout to any of you who started connecting with me from my blogging days on jasminegrace.net 🙌🏼 Thank you!!

I can’t believe how far I’ve come and looking back has actually made me realize how proud I am of my younger self. It tends to be the trend and commonality that we usually are all so hard on ourselves. We could even miss when we are thriving and living our best life!! I’m not entirely sure how well I knew it back then but the 2021 me is here to confirm I was doing something right.

Be encouraged today that even though you may not be yet to where you are heading, you are certainly doing your BEST while on your way!! 💞
