I AM TWENTY, SAY WHAT?!
Join me for the greatest birthday weekend with friends, waffles, sunsets, cake, and more!
I hope you enjoyed watching my latest vlog as I did living and making it!
It was truly a BLAST to say the least.
I started off my morning by sleeping-in (my favorite), then waking up to get ready to head over to Black: Coffee & Waffle Bar with my amazing friend, Jadelyn. We both had Strawberry Cheesecake topped waffles and, as you can see in my vlog, they were delish! Oh, yes I will have to go back again soon.
Next, we went to meet up with my friend, Lindsey, after jamming to some classic Taylor Swift in the car ride over to The Escape Room. This entertainment spot is one of many in the Minneapolis area, where you are locked in a room for 60 minutes and the goal is to solve the mystery before times runs out. With only the three of us to solve the challenge, each of us as our first time, we unfortunately did not complete the mission. However, we were only a few minutes away from solving it! The most exciting part of our specific challenge was discovering that the large bookshelf opened up to a secret room with a large safe box to be unlocked. If you are looking for an exciting activity, I highly recommend this one for all ages! After, we made a quick stop home to open some presents that my sweet friends had gotten me.
For dinner, we all ate at Buca di Beppo (another new place for me). My friends, Emily and Arianna, joined as we all shared a platter of margarita pizza and fettuccine supreme pasta. Before we had left the restaurant, history was made as I was sung to for the first time ever in a restaurant on my birthday(it was my greatest fear as a kid, haha). The whole dinner was wonderful getting to chit-chat with friends and catch up in the middle of our summer. You can expect this is another place I will be visiting again, and hopefully soon!
As we were heading back home, I realized we had to make a detour to enjoy the rest of our evening shopping on this great weather day! We hit up Victoria Secret’s Pink, American Eagle, and H&M. We all found must-have pieces at American Eagle. My purchase was my first-ever olive green bomber jacket. To my surprise after trying it on “just for fun” it fitted me quite well and the best part is I got it for only $20! Grand fashion find! Once we said goodbye to Emily and Arianna, a spontaneous adventure occurred as we were determined to chase the “cotton candy sunset”. Oh man, isn’t God’s artwork the best you have ever seen? I certainly think so. I drove us 12 miles out of town just to take in this stunning sky God blessed us with. It was so worth it. When we did arrive back home, we celebrated with a slice of red velvet cake and vanilla bean ice cream to top off the day!
For the second day, I did not film as much since I was not originally planning to. I spent the entire day with my parents and skipping down memory lane. We first attended my home church then went out to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. I had a tasty pasta, which I forgot to film, but I totally remembered to capture the delicious dessert – a slice of their white chocolate raspberry cheesecake that I split with my dad. We spent the rest of the day together reminiscing about my childhood since we finally found a special journal filled with funny phrases I had said as a child that my parents had put together. I opened up more cards and presents as we ate some more of the last bit of the red velvet cake! I feel so blessed and I am beyond thankful for my family.
If you haven’t noticed this was a day for trying new things, and it all turned out quite well in my mind.
Thank you to my wonderful friends and family for helping make this birthday THE BEST yet! I have so many memories to treasure forever.
What was your most memorable birthday? Share it with me in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
