It is important to style your dorm room so it represents you. Make the most out of your dorm by creating one that is your style and I am here to help show you how.
Choose Your Colors
Start with choosing your favorite colors. Depending on the colors I recommend going with either two color shades with a neutral or one main color shade with a neutral and accent color. For my freshman dorm room I choose teal/mint green, white, & gold. (I originally choose teal since it is my favorite color, however, I found the exact color was hard to come by in all that I was looking for, so I ended up often going for a mint green shade that looked similar.)
Pick Your Style
Now make your room personal and stylish by selecting your overall style and theme! Do you like boho, classy, edgy, minimalistic, colorful, earthy, or elegant? Select your style and keep that in mind for when you go shopping. This will help keep your room coordinated all-together!
Add Accessories & Your Personal Touch
Lastly, add decor and photos to makes your dorm room feel special and unique! Find photos that inspire you and push you towards your goals. Also, I highly recommend printing out lots of photos of you and your friends to hang throughout your room. I love this because it keeps you true to your roots and then you always know that when days aways from home get tough there are always people who love you for you!
