“Becoming a Better You”
I think we all have those days when we feel disappointed and stressed. When something we may have hoped for has disappointed us we think our dreams will never come true. However, the fact is we are all missing the big picture. Being let down means you were hoping for something better; you didn’t settle for just ok. Instead, you expected above and beyond greatness. I think that sometimes when we are let down, it’s because we want something more to happen. This means you have hopes, dreams, and set goals for yourself. Maybe you didn’t even know you had placed goals for yourself to work toward.
Next time you are feeling down, stop, be proud of yourself and how far you have come. Know that you don’t accept the mediocre in life, instead, you aim for the stars.
You have goals for yourself and things you desire to accomplish.
Strive to be better each and every day. If the last day tore you down, get right back up and treat it better than it treated you.
When you have low moments it means you want more out of life. You strive to be better. You have a future filled with exciting goals to accomplish.
When you stop having those low moments it’s like you’re saying, “everything in my life is ok now, and I don’t need to improve anything. It’s good enough. Why try?” Low moments are a chance to improve yourself and come up higher.
HAVE A COMEBACK FEW-STEP SOLUTION:
1) TALK TO A TRUSTED FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER
Share what has been on your mind with those close friends who genuinely care about you and who know you best. I encourage you to talk with others instead of keeping problems to yourself.
2) PURSUE YOUR PASSIONS/HOBBIES
Do things that make you oh-so-happy. Mine is turning up the music and dancing in front of the mirror.
Give yourself some time away to relax and think through what may be causing stress or worry. Treat yourself, aka spa day.
4) POSITIVE MINDSET
Think positive thoughts and keep a positive mind set. YOU have the power to choose what you think about, so choose wisely. What you think is what you are.
