Enjoy life’s journey; the highs, lows, and everything in between.

Life will knock you down sometimes but that’s doesn’t mean you failed, just simply try again. One small crack doesn’t mean that you are broken. It means you were put to the test and you didn’t fall apart. Even if you broke a little, you were strong enough to push through it.

Stop waiting for the end result and telling yourself that once you get there then you’ll have a reason to be fully happy. That is not a way for anyone to live their life. The thing is, life is continuously filled with challenges. Instead of trying to just get through these obstacles and waiting for a better day to come along, approach life’s challenges with a positive mindset to do YOUR BEST-no matter what the situation presents.

You’ll realize once you accomplish that one goal, another one will come along that is even greater. Nothing will ever be enough since there is always something more, better, or next. I encourage you to be proud of how far you’ve come and what you have already accomplished. Nothing on earth can truly satisfy our soul. Only God can fully satisfy us.

Life is a true gift from God. Enjoy life’s journey, the highs, lows, and everything in between. After all, “it’s the climb” that makes life such a journey. Whether it’s figuring out what do next, where to go, or how to face a situation, take it all in and make the best out of every situation. We can’t choose what challenges will come our way, but we can choose how we react to them. Our reactions speak about our character and who we are as a person.

I have learned to laugh things off, smile more, and pray continuously, since I can’t do life alone. I can honestly say that I have started to love my life a lot more and have learned to treasure every moment. I’ve become happier, healthier, and someone who lives life to the fullest within each moment. I’m done wasting my time waiting for a “better” time to come along.

“ain’t about how fast I get there, ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side, it’s the climb”

Inspired by the song, “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus (featured in Hannah Montana the Movie)

It may seem kind of cheesy to be writing this post based off a Disney movie, I know. Regardless, the message behind this song holds a great mindset. This also shows that I get inspired at the most random times. This lyric from the song really stuck with me after I heard it again recently. Although I’ve heard this song several times just years before when the movie originally came out, it never had occurred to me what she was actually saying. As humans I feel that it is natural for us to work towards goals, which is great. However, this song speaks to a different meaning that shares its own message. At first it says, “ain’t about how fast I get there” which is encouraging because then I don’t feel like I’m on a ticking-time-bomb. It’s the next line that I find key and made me think twice, “ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side”. It completely deconstructs the way of thinking that goals are what make up your life. Whether, it is actually the path and obstacles along the way that create your life. Therefore by embracing these obstacles are what makes life worth living. Just as the last line says, “it’s the climb”.
