I love how God answers even our little prayers. The things that seem so important to us, although in the overall scheme of things it may seem so small.
We matter to God and when something is important to us, it’s important to Him as well.
My little prayer…
Recently, one night before going to bed, I saw a spider on the ceiling of my room. (If you know me, you would know spiders freak me out). In my attempt to kill the spider I threw a Kleenex box at it, knocking it down to the floor. Only to have the spider fly (yes, it flew) back up and now around my room. As I made a loud screech I ran out of my room, hoping to avoid the situation. I began to start wishing I had a husband (a.k.a 24/7 bug-killer) who would kill the spider for me instead. However, since that is not the case, I knew I had to kill the spider myself.
Before re-entering my room, to brave the situation, I said a quick prayer, “Dear God, will you please not let the spider touch me or even come close, and for it to be dead within one minute. Amen.” Feeling hopeful, I entered my room while looking around to notice the spider back on the ceiling, but this time, right above my chair. I grabbed the Kleenex box again and hopped up onto the chair to quickly kill the spider, which I did.
God had listened to my prayer and then I realized God had just fully answered my prayer.
When things scare or bother us God is there no matter how big or small it may be. He is there right beside us. That makes me so thankful and comforted to know that the God who created the universe is also the same God who is looking out over me.
God hears your prayers. He is listening for you to just say His name and talk to Him.
Was there a time God answered a little prayer for you? Share it in the comments below, I’d love to read it!
I encourage you to read more from the Finding You Series about choosing wisely and how to know if God is changing the desires of your heart.
